MediaSpike, a US-based advertising technology company which provides digital product placement in social and mobile games, has raised $5.2m series A funding led by existing investor, CMEA Capital, with participation from other existing investors, including Google Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of internet search firm Google, 500 Startups and Raptor Capital; new investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Inspovation Ventures, and angel investors, including Jonathan Abrams, Othman Laraki, Rick Marini, and Naval Ravikant.
John McCrea, chief operating officer of MediaSpike, said in a blog: “The new capital will be focused on bringing more amazing people to our team, in order to accelerate our growth and more rapidly evolve our industry-first platform for dynamic product placement. Pedal to the metal!”
