Google’s carrot for Stickery

Stickery, a US-based children’s learning platform for mobile devices, secured seed funding last Tuesday from backers including corporate venturing unit Google Ventures and seed accelerator fund 500 Startups. The amount was reported by news provider TechCrunch as being $325,000.

The funding follows Google Ventures’ support for Airy Labs, which provides its own educational games for children, in August. Theoretically, Stickery occupies the market immediately below Airy’s in age range.

Stickery operates a game platform for mobile devices, which helps young children to learn and provides post-game analytics to parents, enabling them to guide their children through the game. Stickery will use the funding to hire additional staff and expand its range of educational games to other platforms and markets.
