Austria-based social investment trading platform Wikifolio has closed a €6m ($8.2m) series A investment round that saw participation from VHB Ventures, the incubator of publishing group Handelsblatt.
VHB Ventures also invested in Wikifolio’s February 2013 series A round, comprising an undisclosed amount, along with early stage investment fund Speedinvest and trading company Lang & Schwarz, both of which invested in the latest round too.
Wikifolio is an alternative investment system that allows traders to transform their investment portfolios into products – their ‘wikifolios’ – that are then listed on the Börse Stuttgart stock exchange. This allows external parties to buy trading strategies from the traders using the system.
