India-based property portal Housing.com, which is backed by the corporate venturing division of telecommunications company Qualcomm, is in talks to raise $30m, the Economic Times reported on Wednesday.
The funding is set to come from both existing and new investors, including Russian entrepreneur Yuri Milner, who despite leading investment firm DST Global, will participate as a private investor, and Tybourne Capital.
Housing.com lists houses to rent or buy in India and provides a map interface as part of the service. The new funds will be used for acquisitions, improving the company’s branding, hiring new staff and building technology.
In June, Housing.com raised $19m in funding from Qualcomm Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners and Helion Venture Partners, bringing its total fundraising to approximately $33.5m.
