US-based data analytics technology developer Hypersonix attracted $11.5m in a series A round on Friday led by Intel Capital, the corporate venturing arm of semiconductor producer Intel.
Unnamed existing shareholders also took part in the round.
Hypersonix’s autonomous analytics platform exploits artificial intelligence and automation technologies to process internal commerce data and external data such as weather and local events in order to surface real-time insights on aspects such as consumer behaviour and churn.
The series A capital has been allocated to the expansion and deployment of its platform within the consumer commerce sector, targeting clients across retail and e-commerce, hospitality, consumer-packaged goods and manufacturing.
Vijay Reddy, an investment direct at Intel Capital, will join Hypersonix’s board of directors.
Hypersonix has now raised more than $15m in funding altogether, it said. Its backers also include Avidbank, Happiness Ventures, Firebolt Ventures and Sherpalo, as well as assorted angel investors.
