In-Q-Tel, the quasi corporate venturing unit of the US’ Central Intelligence Agency has signed a strategic partnership with Looxcie, a video camera company,.
The agreement will involve a partnership design and develop “next generation” videocameras using Looxcie’s intellectual property. The technology is being developed for the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate, an In-Q-Tel customer agency.
Steve Bowsher, Managing Partner at In-Q-Tel, said: “Looxcie has established itself as a market leader in wearable videocam technology and we are impressed with the unique capabilities offered by the company. Our partnership with Looxcie will provide our government customers with an opportunity to utilize and build upon this innovative product.”
