Reflektion, a US-based, cloud-based retail analytics startup, has raised $8m in series A funding led by Intel Capital and including Nike.
Reflektion provides a predictive analytics platform, through a software-as-a-service (SaaS) cloud model, which detects trends and predicts in real-time what each customer is likely to buy next. The company plans to use the funding to support its customers — including beach clothing retailer O’Neill and footwear company Converse, which is currently piloting the technology — and to launch its products more broadly.
“This is like the game-changing Moneyball’ story of advanced analytics being brought to retail. Reflektion offers sophisticated new technologies for retailers and brands to compete better – and with little incremental investment,” said Sean Moran, president and CEO of Reflektion.
