Intel Capital, the corporate venturing division of US-based chip maker Intel, has invested in the $15m series A extension round of Virtustream, a provider of virtual technology company.
Venture capital firms along Noro-Moseley Partners and TDFunds joined Intel Capital in the fund extension and Virtusteam has now raised $40m in series A financing. The initial part of the round came from VCs Columbia Capital and Blue Lagoon Capital. Virtustream was formed in the autumn by the merger of VirtualizeIT and Brigh Technologies.
