US-based big data company GoodData has closed a $25.7m series E round led by Intel Capital, the corporate venturing subsidiary of semiconductor manufacturer Intel.
TOTVS Ventures, the investment arm of management software producer TOTVS, also took part ijn the round alongside venture capital firms Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst Partners, Next World Capital, Tenaya Capital and Windcrest Partners, and fund manager Pharus Capital Management.
GoodData has created a cloud-based analytics platform that enables organsations to turn data into actionable insights. The company is rumoured to be planning an initial public offering in 2016.
Roman Stanek, chief executive of GoodData, said: “The business intelligence market has reached a new point of maturity, as organizations increasingly analyse data at scale in the cloud. We have always recognised a need in the market for a complete, cloud-based big data platform. We are glad to see validation of our approach from customers and investors with our largest funding round to date.”
As part of the deal, Igor Taber, a director at Intel Capital, will join GoodData’s board of directors.
TOTVS Ventures provided $22m for GoodData’s series D round in August 2013. The company has raised just over $100m in funding since it was founded in 2007.
