Easy Life Financial Services Holding Group, a financial services spinout of aviation-focused conglomerate HNA Group, has received RMB1.9bn ($273m) in series B+ funding from a consortium of investors.
The investors in question included H Capital, CapitaLand, Pacific Securities, Shandong Bihai Tourism Development Fund, Jining Cultural Tourism Development Fund, and Chongqing Aviation Investment and Tourism Development Fund.
Easy Life, which was established in January 2016, provides a range of payment services catering to the tourism industry, including foreign currency exchange, traveller’s cheques, tax rebates and prepaid debit cards for international use.
HNA-Caissa Travel Group, a travel services company partly owned by HNA, had led an $82m series B round for Easy Life in October 2016, taking a stake sized at almost 8% in the process.
The round follows a $200m series A round for another HNA financial services subsidiary, HNA-Caissa Travel Group, in November 2016. RRJ Capital led that round, participating alongside undisclosed Chinese investors.
