Mediamorph, a US-based developer of software to manage digital supply chains, closed a $21.2m series C round on Monday co-led by Advance Vixeid Partners, a venture capital affiliate of publisher Advance Publications.
Senior advisers to private equity firm Lee Equity Partners co-led the round, which also featured Liberty Global Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of media company Liberty Global, and VC firm Smedvig Capital.
Mediamorph has built a cloud-based video distribution service that allows content producers to manage deals and rights, track consumption and take informed decisions to drive revenue. The series C funding will help it expand the platform and drive recruitment.
Nomi Bergman, president of Advance subsidiary Bright House Networks, has joined Mediamorph’s board alongside Bob Greene, managing director of Liberty Global, and Barry Baker, senior adviser to Lee Equity Partners.
Liberty Global Ventures led the company’s $10m series B round in 2014 with participation from Smedvig, which previously supported an $8m series A round in 2012 alongside Motorola Mobility Ventures, the investment unit of mobile devices manufacturer Motorola Mobility.
Mediamorph, which was founded in 2007, had previously secured $3.5m in capital from private investors.
