US-based mass media group Comcast NBCUniversal began accepting applications for the third cohort of its Comcast NBCUniversal Lift Labs Accelerator, powered by Techstars, on Monday.
Connectivity, media and entertainment startups can apply to the 13-week scheme by April 5, 2020. It will begin at the Comcast Technology Center in the state of Philadelphia in July, with a demo day scheduled for October.
Launched in 2018, Lift Labs has graduated 21 international startups, 15 of which have piloted or created proofs of concepts with Comcast NBCUniversal.
The 2020 batch will concentrate on developers of artificial intelligence, machine learning and blockchain technology, as well as virtual, augmented and mixed reality systems to enhance connectivity and immersive experiences.
Participants will receive mentoring from business professionals at Comcast NBCUniversal and its subsidiaries including Xfinity, Sky and Universal Studios, in addition to workspace access at the Comcast Technology Center for a year.
