MobileDay, a US-based developer of conference calling technology backed by Google and Softbank, raised $6.6m in series A funding last week, according to an SEC filing.
The round was led by Foundry Group, which invested alongside Google Ventures, internet company Google’s corporate venturing fund, telecommunications firm SoftBank, Innoventure Partners, Drummond Road Capital, Bullet Time Ventures, and SoftTech.
MobileDay’s technology gives users one-touch access conference calls from their mobile devices. The funding will be invested in growing the company’s sales and marketing efforts as it looks to grow.
The company previously received $1.5m from a 2011 seed round featuring Google, SoftBank, Foundry Group, Bullet Time Ventures, and SoftTech, and it has now raised about $10.6m in funding altogether.
