Mya Systems recruits corporates for series C round

Mya Systems, the US-based creator of an intelligent recruitment software platform, has raised approximately $18.8m in a series C round that included networking technology provider Cisco and enterprise software producer Workday.

Notion Capital led the round, which also featured fellow venture capital firms Emergence Capital and Foundation Capital, while the corporates took part through subsidiaries Cisco Investments and Workday Ventures.

Founded in 2012, Mya has built a software tool that utilises conversational artificial intelligence and natural language processing to automate the sourcing and communication process between recruiters and potential hires.

Eyal Grayevsky, Mya’s founder and CEO, said: “While hiring is slowing down in some industries given the current crisis, we are seeing large spikes in demand from customers in healthcare, e-commerce, light industrial, call centre, logistics, supply chain and other industries that have urgent, high-volume hiring needs.

“Mya is uniquely positioned to support those industries that need to scale recruitment due to Covid-19 and our team is squarely focused on helping our customers meet those shifting market demands.”

Foundation Capital led Mya’s $18m series B round in October 2017, investing alongside Emergence Capital, which had provided $11.4m in series A funding for the company five months earlier.
