Quantitative trading firm Susquehanna International Group (SIG) exited US-based online business financing portal Fundera on Friday in an acquisition of undisclosed size by financial advice provider NerdWallet.
Founded in 2013, Fundera has built an online platform where small and medium-sized businesses can access financial resources such as loans and legal services from external partners, in addition to free financial content.
All Fundera’s employees will join NerdWallet and it will function as a subsidiary, expanding NerdWallet’s services further into the business space.
SIG’s Susquehanna Growth Equity affiliate led an $11.5m series B round for the company in 2015, participating alongside QED Investors, Khosla Ventures and First Round Capital.
Fundera had previously picked up $3.4m from Khosla Ventures, First Round, Lerer Hipeau, SV Angel and various individual investors the year before.
