Germany-based rental platform Nestpick raised $11m in series A capital yesterday from human resources software developer Mangrove, e-commerce group Rocket Internet and venture capital firm Enern.
Founded in May 2014, Nestpick enables users to view and rent a property online while also simplifying the process for landlords. The platform originally targeted international students and expats, but is now marketing the service at all renters.
The company claims to have listed more than 21,000 properties since its launch and processed €16m ($17.6m) in income for landlords. The platform covers 35 cities across eight countries in Europe and Australia.
Rocket Internet previously provided an undisclosed amount of seed funding in December 2014.
Hans-Jürgen Schmitz, co-founder of Mangrove, said: “This company is solving a real pain point for consumers by creating a seamless rental experience entirely online. At Mangrove we focus on disruptive concepts that solve real problems.
“Nestpick is achieving this by bringing reliability and convenience for both tenants and owners to the next level. We are excited to add Nestpick to our portfolio and look forward to supporting them on their path to become a global market leader.”
