Llamasoft, a US-based provider of supply chain design software and services, has raised $6.1m in its series A round from a consortium including local sportswear provider Nike.
Alongside Nike’s corporate venturing unit in the A round were venture capital firms MK Capital, venture capital firm MK Capital, Augment Ventures and First Step Fund.
Donald Hicks, executive president at Llamasoft, said: “This engagement with MK Capital and Nike provides Llamasoft with the resources to take the Company to the next level.”
Earlier in the month, Nike struck a commercial partnership with Llamasoft after using its services for the past two years.
At the time, Hans Van Alebeek, Nike’s vice-president of global operations and technology, said: “Through working with Llamasoft as a customer, we recognized the potential to collaborate on innovative supply chain solutions that offer real time logistics benefits and the potential to positively impact our efforts around carbon reduction.”
