NodePrime, a US-based provider IT infrastructure management software, has emerged from stealth with a $7m seed round featuring communication technology producer Ericsson.
Venture capital firms Formation 8, Menlo Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, Initialized Capital and Crosslink Capital, as well as TEEC Angel Fund also contributed the round.
NodePrime’s technology enables IT administrators to manage distributed data centres. The software provides real-time, detailed insight into network infrastructure while enabling configuration and automation, identifying the cause of any issues and offering the ability to prototype setups.
The company’s clients include Ericsson, as well as enterprise software developer SAP and domain registrar GoDaddy.
James Malachowski, co-founder and chief executive of NodePrime, said: “Our vision is to transform the datacentre into a single organism where it is entirely possible to manage millions of machines and devices, and billions of metrics, inside one view.”
