China-based programmatic advertising technology developer Nox has received almost RMB200m ($31.6m) in series B funding from investors including online services provider Sea, 36kr reported on Tuesday.
The round also featured venture capital fund Everest Ventures and Y&R Capital. Nox has not publicly disclosed details of its earlier funding.
Nox has developed a programmatic advertising platform that helps China-based companies advertise in overseas markets, and international companies target consumers within China, helping them overcome local differences in user behaviour, media rules, customs and culture.
The funding will be used to enhance the company’s cloud computing and analytics technology in order to more thoroughly mine its user data. It also plans to strengthen its partnerships with media operators and create more internally-developed products.
