NTT Docomo Ventures, a corporate venturing subsidiary of telecommunications company NTT Docomo, has invested an undisclosed sum in Japan-based machine learning technology company Abeja.
Abeja provides non-analytical technology that enables retailers and service providers to visualise real-time data concerning customer movement.
NTT Docomo Ventures, which acquired the shares through third party allocation, said it did so because it expects Abeja’s business to grow strongly in the next few years. Abeja’s technology is also expected to contribute to NTT’s in-store marketing products.
