US-based online credit marketplace OnDeck Capital closed its initial public offering last week at $230m after the underwriters took up the option to acquire an additional 1.5 million shares.
OnDeck initially raised $200m, issuing 10 million shares priced at $20 each when it floated on 17th December. The company’s stock opened at $26.50 on its first day of trading, later peaking at $28.98.
The purchasing underwriters were Morgan Stanley, BofA Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan Securities, Deutsche Bank Securities, Jefferies, Raymond James, Stifel, Nicolaus & Company and Needham & Company.
OnDeck had previously raised almost $385m in debt and equity funding from backers including software provider SAP and diversified internet services company Google.
