Computing company Oracle has acquired US-based cloud service company TOA Technologies on Thursday for an undisclosed amount, providing an exit to Intel Capital, the corporate venturing arm of semiconductor maker Intel.
TOA supplies field service management software to businesses, providing them with a platform to manage mobile field service operations. The acquisition will allow Oracle to add TOA’s field service software to its own cloud product offering.
Yuval Brisker, chief executive at TOA Technologies, said: “Adding TOA’s solutions to Oracle Service Cloud will enable companies to accelerate their ability to deliver exceptional customer service.”
Founded in 2003, TOA has since raised $96.2m in funding, including $66m from a series E round in July 2013 from Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV) and $17.2m from a 2011 series D round featuring Intel Capital, TCV, Sutter Hill Ventures, Draper Triangle Ventures, Fort Washington Capital Partners Group and private investors.
Intel also took part in TOA’s $13m series C round in 2008.
