Pruitt joins Anthemis from Santander

Tee Pruitt, a principal at Santander InnoVentures, the corporate venturing arm of Spain-based financial services firm Banco Santander, has taken a venture capital investor role at fintech-focused investment and advisory firm Anthemis Group.

Pruitt joined InnoVentures in March 2015 after two years as a principal at C5 Capital, the venture capital firm which recently hired Marcos Battisti from Intel Capital. He led InnoVentures’ investments into online lending platform Kabbage and Tradeshift, he said.

Last month, Anthemis, which raised its first venture fund in 2016, hired Ruth Foxe Blader from insurer Allianz Group, where she managed strategic investment subsidiary Allianz Ventures’ insurtech and asset management investment strategy.

Foxe Blader had led Allianz Ventures’ investments in Lemonade, MoneyFarm and Anthemis portfolio company QuanTemplate, among others.

In other moves, Giles Alexander joined Anthemis earlier this month as technology director and Briana van Strijp has transitioned into a full-time role at the firm as head of people and organisational design.
