Tee Pruitt has been hired by Santander InnoVentures Fund, Spain-based financial services firm Santander’s$100m corporate venturing unit, as an investment manager.
Formed in July 2014, London-based Santander InnoVentures invests in a range of fintech areas including online and mobile payment, online lending, digital financial services delivery and data analytics.
Prior to taking up the role at Santander, Pruitt had a varied career, acting as a consultant for financial services provider Citigroup and consultancy firm BearingPoint before co-founding angel investment fund IW Lee Financial, for which he was CEO.
Pruitt joined venture capital firm Octopus Investments in 2011 a venture investment associate and took up a position as principal at fund manager C5 Capital the following year. Pruitt had been acting as an independent consultant for around a year before being snapped up by Santander.
