Gradient Ventures, internet technology provider Google’s artificial intelligence fund, has led an $8m series A round for US-based coding review service PullRequest, TechVibes has reported.
Accelerator operator Y Combinator, boutique seed fund Fika Ventures, investment firm Lynett Capital and venture capital fund Defy Partners also contributed to the round.
PullRequest uses a combination of artificial intelligence technology, professional reviewers and tooling to review code for software developers, providing suggestions and fixes for errors or problems.
Gradient Ventures had previously led the startup’s $2.3m seed round in December 2017, investing alongside the rest of the series A investors as well as communication software provider Slack’s corporate venturing vehicle, Slack Fund, FundersClub and Liquid2 Ventures.
