PurpleTalk, a US-based mobile application development company, has launched a corporate venturing fund to incubate Indian companies.
PurpleTalk’s PollenEight venture will seed mobile device developers.
Its deadline for applications is October 15 and its website said "innovation in mobile software and platforms is just starting and the next big technology company will be mobile-exclusive" as its reason for starting up.
Sridhar Muppidi, chief executive of PurpleTalk, in an interview with news provider RCR Wireless said this was the right time to "actively encourage entrepreneurship in the mobile space".
