Networking equipment manufacturer Cisco has acquired a stake worth about 17% in India-based media startup Qyuki, paying Rs270m ($5.5m), according to a report in Indian venture capital news source VCCircle on 15th February.
Cisco previously invested in the company in September, when it was known as Shekhar Kapur Digital Media.
Qyuki, which is based around the a platform enabling collaboration between multiple users, was founded by Shekhar Kapur, director of films such as Bandit Queen and Elizabeth, and soundtrack composer A.R. Rahman.
