ResMed helps Supermoon Capital close $36m fund

US-based venture capital firm Supermoon Capital has formed a $36m sleep technology-focused vehicle involving limited partners including connected medical equipment manufacturer ResMed.

Founded in 2019, Supermoon Capital targets developers of technologies and services that are designed to help users improve their sleep quality. It will back companies at pre-seed, seed or series A stage, and will operate on a geography-agnostic basis.

Supermoon Capital has a strategic partnership in place with SleepScore Labs, a sleep tracking technology arm of ResMed, which helps the firm’s portfolio companies with product development and testing.

The firm has already backed six startups including Israel-headquartered patient monitoring technology developer Clair Labs, Germany-based customised sleep-inducing soundscape provider Endel as well as EnsoData, a sleep apnoea diagnosis software provider founded in the United States, and FreshBed, a bed system producer from the Netherlands.
