Roc Nation, the US-based entertainment services provider founded by entertainer Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter, has launched a platform called Arrive that will supply funding and assistance to startups.
Arrive will provide advice, brand services and business development help to early-stage companies. It plans to also launch its own corporate venturing fund to back portfolio companies as they grow.
Venture capital firm Primary Venture Partners has been appointed venture advisor to the initiative, and institutional and operational support will come from GlassBridge Asset Management, part of holding company GlassBridge Enterprises.
Neil Sirni, Roc Nation’s head of new ventures, said: “Arrive was created to leverage our experience and resources in building brands, developing consumer facing businesses, managing artists and representing athletes.
“We have opened that diversified, global range of expertise to a new vertical: entrepreneurs and their early-stage businesses.”
