Almaz Capital, a Russia-based venture capital firm which recently launched Almaz II, a $102m fund with technology company Cisco and the EBRD as anchor investors, has hired Ross Hangebrauck and Daniil Stolyarov to join its US office in Menlo Park, California.
Ross Hangebrauck joins Almaz as managing director. Most recently, Hangebrauck was co-founder of computer vision software company, Hover, and remains its chairman. He has worked previously as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch, and is a former Navy Seal.
Daniil Stolyarov joins Almaz as a financial director. He has more than 10 years experience advising technology, media and communication companies in Russia and Silicon Valley on mergers & acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and public and private financings.” Previously Stolyarov worked at Cowen and Company, Lehman Brothers and Renaissance Capital. He also co-founded and served as a board member of itour.ru, a Russia-based online travel company with operations in Russia and Ukraine.
