Manoj Saxena, formerly general manager of IBM’s Watson Solutions, has left IBM to become a managing director at venture capital firm The Entrepreneur’s Fund, where he will be investing in IBM Watson-powered startups and mentoring cognitive computing entrepreneurs. Saxena tweeted in February that that he was excited about his new role “as a VC to accelerate Cognitive Computing.”
Saxena continues to serve as an advisor to Michael Rhodin, who leads the IBM Watson Group.
Saxena also revealed in his tweets that he had become a fan of the “quirky, mesmerizing ‘sport’ of curling” during the Sochi Olympics, and is looking forward to the Formula 1 season whereby “unparalled changes to the car spec and rules should make it fun.”
