Germany-based product search and automated data processing company Semknox has merged with US-based Zoovu Boston, a provider of an artificial intelligence-powered conversational platform, for an undisclosed amount.
In mid-2015, Semknox raised a six-figure euro amount of funding from marketing consultancy LeRoi Online Marketing, software developer Seto, High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), a Germany-based corporate and state-backed early-stage investor, WestTech Ventures and angel investor Philipp Katz.
Martin Möllmann, investment manager at HTGF, said: “The newly formed partnership [merger of Semknox to Zoovu] will help retailers all over the world to fully leverage the technology advantages of ontology-based search algorithms.”
