Nasdaq-listed peer Tessera Technologies has bought Siimpel, a technology company backed by multiple corporate venturing units, for $15m.
Siimpel had raised more than $75m from phone maker Motorola’s Ventures division, the corporate venturing unit of Japanese phone operator NTT Docomo and LG Innotek as well as venture capital firms Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Global Catalyst Partners, Portage Venture Partners, Scale Venture Partners, Sun America Ventures and Zone Venture Partners.
