US-based mobile game developer TinyCo has launched a $5m corporate venturing fund three months after receiving $18m in venture capital backing.
Developers can get up to $500,000 per title as well as marketing, development and business support and access to Tiny’s user base. It has launched five games that have all reached the top 10 free games on Apple’s App Store and accumulated more than 20 million downloads.
Suli Ali, chief executive at TinyCo, which makes games such as TinyZoo (pictured), said: "We are thrilled to announce the launch of the TinyFund — a $5m fund to help promising iOS and Android developers bring hits to market. There are over 600,000 iOS and Android apps."
In February, venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz and angel investors provided $18m in Tiny’s series A round.
