Israel-based cybersecurity technology provider Toka has raised $12.5m in seed capital from a consortium that included computing equipment maker Dell’s corporate venturing unit, Dell Technologies Capital.
Venture capital firms Andreessen Horowitz, Entrée Capital and Launch Capital also invested in the round, along with Ray Rothrock, CEO of cybersecurity analytics software provider RedSeal.
Toka develops and creates cybersecurity software tailored for use by government, law enforcement and security agencies, working in tandem with its governmental clients.
Yair Snir, managing director at Dell Technologies Capital, said: “The team at Toka has unparalleled experience at the highest levels of cybersecurity, and with their technical and strategic know-how, combined with this investment, they can fill this need and build a great business.”
