Trony Solar flees from public light

Trony Solar, a China-based manufacturer of solar power parts backed by Intel Capital, the venture capital arm of Intel, has withdrawn its planned US flotation plans from the regulator.

Intel Capital had planned to sell half its 5.3% stake in Trony in the New York initial public offering. The three million shares Intel planned to sell were worth an estimated $10 each. In September 2008, Intel Capital had paid $20m for 2.7 million series A shares.
