Troops, a US-based sales team collaboration software developer backed by enterprise communication software provider Slack, has closed a $12m series B round led by venture capital firm Aspect Ventures.
Founded in 2015, Troops makes artificial intelligence-equipped software products for sales teams that allows data from customer relationship management platform Salesforce to be integrated with Slack’s communication platform to facilitate automated updates on new sales and other operational developments.
Slack subsidiary Slack Fund joined Felicis Ventures, First Round, Aspect Ventures, Susa Ventures, Flight.VC, NextView Ventures and Chicago Ventures to provide $7m in series A funding for Troops in September 2016.
First Round led a $2.6m round for the company four months earlier that also featured Nextview Ventures, Chicago Ventures, Great Oaks Capital, Founder Collective and Vast Ventures.
