UBiqube nets NTT Comware on way to $20m

Ireland-based automation software vendor UBiqube has secured NTT Comware, the system integrator division of telecommunications firm NTT, as an investor in a $20m series B round it is raising.

Founded in 2014, UBiqube provides orchestration software that helps telecoms companies and other large organisations integrate and automate their networking and security communication infrastructure.

UBiqube had received an undisclosed amount of series A funding from IT equipment provider Fujitsu, cybersecurity software producer Fortinet and NTT Docomo Ventures, NTT subsidiarity NTT Docomo’s corporate venturing unit, in May 2017.

NTT Comware president Satoshi Kurishima said: “NTT Comware, as one of the leading integrators in Japan, with global reach via the NTT group, strives to provide its customers with the most innovative solutions which will assist them in their digital transformation while dramatically improving their operations through automation.

“UBiqube is key to our strategy on the matter and as a strong believer in their vision, we are eager to support their global expansion via this strategic investment.”
