Vectra secures $35m

US-based cybersecurity company Vectra Networks has raised $35m in a series D round backed by networking technology producer Juniper Networks and semiconductor maker Intel, Silicon Valley Business Journal reported on Wednesday.

Juniper Networks and Intel Capital, the corporate venturing subsidiary of Intel, were joined by DAG Ventures, which led the round, Khosla Ventures, Accel Ventures, IA Ventures and AME Cloud Ventures.

Vectra provides software that gives real-time detection and analysis of network cyberattacks, prioritising the elements of the security breaches riskiest to the business. It has accumulated more than 150 corporate customers, several of which are reportedly Fortune 500 companies.

The company has now raised about $78m since it was formed in 2011, including $25m in an August 2014 series C round featuring Intel Capital, the Juniper-owned Junos Innovation Fund, Accel, IA and AME Cloud.
