Wantful wraps up partnership deal with Nordstrom

US-based gift giving service Wantful has launched a partnership with fashion retailer Nordstrom that involved Nordstrom investing an undisclosed sum in the company, the Wall Street Journal has reported.

The partnership will establish The Nordstrom Gift Collection, which will offer exclusive, tailored presents to Nordstrom customers. The customers will be able to customise the gift options with a personalised printed or digital gift book from which the recipient can select their present from a variety of bespoke choices.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Nordstrom – one of the great American retail brands, with a well-earned reputation for outstanding customer experiences,” said Wantful chief executive John Poisson.

Nordstrom, which has 268 locations in the US, has invested in Wantful in order to fund new services. In March 2012 Wantful secured $5.5m from Red Swan, Forerunner Ventures, Greylock Partners, Harrison Metal, Polaris Partners, Matt Mullenweg, Dave Morin and Arjun Sethi.
