WFA Investments, a US-based investment firm, has backed India-based personal finance company ArthaYantra, in a seed round.
ArthaYantra was backed by ISB Hyderabad alumni. It is currently in beta.
Ravi Bhagavatula, managing director of WFA Global Investments said, “With the backbone of patented and scalable personal finance solutions along with its disruptive business model, ArthaYantra has the potential to achieve global scale. The Indian market has a promising ‘middle of pyramid’ opportunity and ArthaYantra could prove to be a game changer in the personal finance industry.”
ArthaYantra was also reported by India-based news providers to be in talks to sell a stake to a US-based hedge fund.
