Itochu-backed motorised wheelchair developer Whill has raised $6m in series A funding, according to an SEC filing on Tuesday.
The company, which was founded in Japan in 2012 but is now based in the US, did not disclose the investors in the current round, in which it is targeting $11m.
Whill previously raised $1.75m in seed funding in November from Itochu Technology Ventures, the corporate venturing unit for corporation Itochu, as well as Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, Vegas Tech Fund, 500Startups, Sunbridge Global Ventures, Wingle and assorted angel investors.
