Windsor Circle squares $5.2m series B

US-based retention software company Windsor Circle has received $5.3m in a series B round featuring Comcast Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of television cable company Comcast.

The round also included venture capital fund IDEA Fund Partners, VC firm Triangle Angel Partners and AOL founder Steve Case.  

Windsor Circle prduces software to connect online retailers to consumers, providing them with tools to analyse shopping history and consumer behaviour. The funding will enable the company to expand into new areas with its retention automation technology and meet consumer demand. 

Matt Williamson, CEO of Windsor Circle, said: “The modern marketer needs both data science and automation in order to personalise content and delight the consumer. We are constantly working to improve and augment our retention marketing technology and software in order to help retailers keep their customers.

“This new funding both validates and enables our vision.” 

Windsor Circle previously raised $2.4m in between 2011 and 2013 from Triangle Angel Partners, Idea Fund Partners and angel investors including Bruce Boehm.
