Wipro Ventures, the corporate venturing unit set up by IT services provider Wipro, has provided an undisclosed amount of capital for US-based venture capital fund Work-Bench, LiveMint reported today.
Founded in 2012, Work-Bench focuses on investments in enterprise technology startups, and its portfolio companies include cybersecurity software provider vArmour, infrastructure software developer CoreOS and data connection platform Tamr.
A spokesperson for India-based Wipro told LiveMint the deal, Wipro Ventures’ second commitment to a VC fund after its investment in a fund operated by Israel-based firm TLV Partners in June 2016, was the unit’s 12th, and that it has now invested $32m since it was established in 2015.
