US-based mobile personal healthcare company iHealth Lab, a subsidiary of medical device producer Andon Health, raised $25m in series A funding on Friday from Xiaomi Ventures, the venture arm of smartphone maker Xiaomi.
iHealth designs a range of mobile personal healthcare products that enable users to measure and track health vital signs such as blood pressure and sleep efficiency.
The new capital will be used to support innovation, accelerate growth and to fund additional sales and marketing resources.
“We are very pleased to have Xiaomi Ventures as a partner in our business,” said Yi Liu, chairman of Andon Health. “This investment and partnership should help to extend our global leadership in the mobile health category by providing new capabilities to accelerate growth and new user acquisition.
Following the deal, a representative from Xiaomi Ventures will join iHealth’s board of directors.
