Xjet Solar, an Israel-based maker of equipment for solar panel cells, has reportedly raised $35m in its series B round from a consortium from Landa Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of the eponymous local printing conglomerate.
News provider Globes said undisclosed Chinese investors were alongside Landa, which was founded in 2002 by Benny Landa, the entrepreneur behind Indigo and its sale to computer maker Hewlett-Packard (HP).
Xjet had previously raised $9m in 2007 from venture capital firm Gemini Israel Funds, family office Good Energies, Norway-based renewable investor Scatec and Spirox Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of the eponymous Taiwan-based technology distributor.
Ofir Baharav founded Xjet with Hanan Gothait after they sold their previous start-ups, Optonix and Idanit to Credence and HP for $450m and $230m respectively.
