Japan-based online application (app) developer Zawatt secured ¥15m ($195,000) in seed investment from CyberAgent Ventures, the corporate venturing division of the Japan-based online game developer Cyberagent, and Germany-based financial services firm Net Capital Partners, on Sunday.
According to Zawatt’s website, the company’s overall funding comes to ¥20m thus far, although it does not mention whether any additional investors have contributed.
Founded in May by entrepreneurs with experience working for the Walt Disney Company and app developer Cybird among others, Zawatt is the developer of social networking app WishScope. WishScope creates an online market by enabling users to post ‘wishes’ – requests for goods or services which can be provided by other users in exchange for money.
