Zipnosis sees Bright future in acquisition deal

Healthcare provider Bright Health Group has acquired US-based telehealth platform operator Zipnosis for an undisclosed amount, allowing hospital operator Fairview Health Services and corporate-backed venture capital firm Ascension Ventures to exit.

Zipnosis has built telehealth technology that allows hospitals to communicate with and treat patients remotely while helping clinicians streamline their workloads. It had raised a total of $24.7m as a $3m round in April 2019.

The total included a $17m series A round in 2016 led by Safeguard Scientifics and backed by Fairview, Ascension Ventures – which is backed by 13 care providers – Hyde Park Venture Partners, Arthur Ventures, Waterline Ventures and Omphalos Ventures.
