Zula ties down Microsoft investment

Zula, an Israel-based mobile collaboration app designed for team communication, has received an undisclosed amount of seed investment from Microsoft Ventures.

Previously, Zula raised $750,000 from Israel-based crowdfunding site OurCrowd, seed stage venture capital fund Kima Ventures, and angel investor Gigy Levy.

Microsoft Ventures general manager Rahul Sood said: “Improving team collaboration on mobile devices has a huge potential for customers of all sizes. Zula has created a brilliant app that brings your team together in a seamless way to get more work done.”

Jeff Pulver, founder and chairman of Zula, said: “We started with a focus on our team and how we could make it easier to collaborate on projects. We wanted a simple way to connect, share documents and make group calls that was built for a mobile team.”

Zula states that it “offers teams the ability to manage a task without the hassle of being glued to a computer. The experience incorporates all elements of the average work flow including file-sharing, group and one on one messaging, a seamless on boarding process, as well as one-touch conference calling for the whole team.”
