Jugnoo, an India-based automotive rickshaw hire service, has secured $10m in a series A extension provided by mobile payment company Paytm, according to the Times of India.
Paytm previously also took part in a first tranche of $5m for the series A round in June 2015, led by Snow Leopard and featuring a range of angel investors.
Launched in November 2014, Jugnoo operates an app that enables users to order an auto rickshaw to travel across a city. The company also offers a hyperlocal delivery service.
The service is currently available in 22 cities across India and is expanding into new locations every three days. The company counts 15,000 transactions each day and hopes to reach one million by February 2016.
Jugnoo is reportedly also in talks with telecoms firm SoftBank and investment firm Tiger Global to secure a larger funding round.
Jugnoo obtained $1m in seed funding in November 2014 from individual investors.
